Teaching Respect For All (Video)

GLSEN
Sep 01, 1996

A stunning 94% of high school students report regularly hearing anti-LGBT language such as "faggot", "dyke" and "that's so gay" in their schools. Yet many schools think that prejudice against LGBT people is not their problem, or is "inappropriate" to address in the school setting.

In this educational training video, GLSEN Executive Director and former high school teacher Kevin Jennings helps a live audience of parents, teachers, administrators and other concerned citizens to understand why schools must address anti-LGBT prejudice if all of our students are to achieve their educational potential.

Running time: 52 minutes.
