GLSEN Announces Honorees for 2005 Respect Awards - New York Gala, Celebrating our Tenth Anniversary
GLSEN is pleased to announce our Second Annual Respect Awards – New York Gala, where we will have the opportunity to recognize and honor some of the leaders who have helped move GLSEN’s work forward. This important benefit dinner will take place on Monday, May 16, 2005 at the beautiful Mandarin Oriental Hotel, New York City. This year's awards will be hosted by Christopher Meloni of HBO's Oz and NBC's Law and Order: SVU.
The 2005 Respect Awards – New York honorees will include: The Honorable Richard Gephardt, former Majority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives and past candidate for President of the United States, and his daughter Chrissy Gephardt, for their intergenerational support of safe schools for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students; Lehman Brothers, for their We hope you will join us to help recognize the 2005 honorees and to raise funds for the important work of GLSEN.
