GLSEN Announces Honorees for Second Annual Respect Awards - Los Angeles Gala
GLSEN is pleased to announce our second annual Respect Awards - Los Angeles Gala, where we will have the opportunity to recognize and honor some of the leaders who have helped move GLSEN's work forward. This important benefit dinner will take place on Friday, September 8, 2006 at the spectacular Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
The 2006 Respect Awards – Los Angeles honorees will include: corporate supporter Cisco Systems, safe schools advocate and founder of Project 10, Virginia Uribe, and author James Howe, whose novel The Misfits, inspired GLSEN’s education initiative No Name-Calling Week. Each is being honored for their outstanding commitment to all of America’s students. We hope you will join us to help recognize the 2006 honorees and to raise funds for the important work of GLSEN.
