GLSEN Announces Honorees for 2006 Respect Awards - New York Gala

GLSEN is pleased to announce our Third Annual Respect Awards – New York gala, where we will have the opportunity to recognize and honor some of the leaders who have helped move GLSEN’s work forward. This important benefit dinner will take place on Monday, May 15, 2006 at Cipriani Wall Street, New York City.

The 2006 Respect Awards – New York honorees will include: Citigroup and Chairman and CEO Charles Prince, the creative team behind the Tony Award-Winning Broadway musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Advocate magazine’s 2005 Person of the Year Kerry Pacer.

From Citigroup’s support of LGBT inclusiveness in the corporate workplace to the diverse student body portrayed in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee to Kerry Pacer’s heroic effort to
start a Gay-Straight Alliance at her school in White County, Georgia, GLSEN’s important work is being felt across the country. We hope you will join us in recognizing the outstanding efforts of the 2006 honorees and in raising funds GLSEN’s continuing mission to create safe schools for all students. There are a number of ways that you can participate in the benefit:

You can become a Sponsor of the event.
Sponsors will receive a prime table of ten and recognition on the invitation and in the program book.

You can become a member of the Benefit Committee.
As a member of the Benefit Committee you lend your name to the event for use on the invitation and in the program book, buy your own ticket(s) and invite friends and colleagues to join you at your table during the event.

You can reserve your tickets now.
