2012-2013 Calendar of Events
No Name-Calling Week (NNCW) is an annual week of educational and creative activities designed to end name-calling of all kinds, with lessons and activities for elementary, middle and high schools. Supported by over 50 National Participating Organizations and over 10,000 educators registered, NNCW reaches over 100,000 students every year. The Creative Expression Contest is an opportunity for students to submit essays, poetry, music, original artwork, or other pieces that convey their experiences and feelings about name-calling in their schools and communities. Days of ActionThese are national, student-led campaigns supported by GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. These actions allow for organizers to call attention to the issues of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools and work to make their schools safer, healthier and more respectful for all students.
