    No Name-Calling Week

No Name-Calling Week (NNCW) is an annual week of educational and creative activities designed to end name-calling of all kinds, with lessons and activities for elementary, middle and high schools. Supported by over 50 National Participating Organizations and over 10,000 educators registered, NNCW reaches over 100,000 students every year. The Creative Expression Contest is an opportunity for students to submit essays, poetry, music, original artwork, or other pieces that convey their experiences and feelings about name-calling in their schools and communities.

Find contest entry forms, information for students on bullying and other NNCW resources at www.nonamecallingweek.org.

    Days of Action

These are national, student-led campaigns supported by GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. These actions allow for organizers to call attention to the issues of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools and work to make their schools safer, healthier and more respectful for all students.

    Ally Week

Ally Week is a week for student organizers to plan events that serve to identify, support and celebrate Allies against anti-LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) language, bullying and harassment in America's schools. From executing Ally pledge drives to facilitating Ally Week workshops for peers and faculty, students across the country plan a week of activities for Ally Week in schools and communities nationwide. Learn more at www.AllyWeek.org.

    The National Day of Silence

On the National Day of Silence students across the country will take a vow of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools. Hundreds of thousands of students across the country and around the world will take part in this student-led action to educate their schools and communities and to encourage others to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior in schools. Learn more at www.DayofSilence.org.

    Days of Support

GLSEN is developing tools for student leaders, educators and GSAs to address topics of intersecting communities in the context of safer schools organizing, such as activity ideas, discussion topics, workshop outlines and in-school actions. This year GLSEN plans to support:
