Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

KPMG LLP values diversity and champions it at the highest level through the firm’s senior partners. The firm believes that the unique perspectives and differences of its people are not only key to its business; diversity also is essential to making KPMG a great place to build a career.

Diversity makes KPMG a more vibrant, interesting place to work and provides a genuinely inclusive work environment. The firm's core values and policy of open and honest communication help build trust and collaboration among its people, and its flexibility and diversity create a culture in which people are comfortable sharing their ideas, perspectives, and knowledge. Such an environment enables professionals to flourish personally as well as professionally, and to do so knowing that they are part of an organization that extends beyond them into the greater business, social, and natural environment.

Of the Big Four accounting firms, KPMG has made the most progress in its diversity efforts in the last two years and now ranks 21st among DiversityInc magazine’s 2009 Top 50 Best Companies for Diversity. KPMG also is ranked 6th among DiversityInc's 2009 Top 10 Companies for LGBT Employees. Both achievements are evidence that the firm considers diversity a business imperative, and a major component of its business strategy.
