Safe Schools Improvement Act Action Kit

In response to the continuing issue of bullying in our nation's schools, Congress has introduced the Safe Schools Improvement Act (SSIA), federal legislation to address bullying and harassment. GLSEN is proud to support the SSIA (H.R. 2262) and to be a leader of the National Safe Schools Partnership, a coalition of nearly 70 education, health, religious, and civil rights advocacy groups working to pass this important piece of legislation. We are pleased that the SSIA currently has a record 118 bipartisan cosponsors. We need your support to secure additional cosponsors for the SSIA and to help pass bullying and harassment legislation.

In order to engage all of our constituents, we have created the Safe Schools Improvement Act Action Kit which can be found here. This kit will provide you with the resources you need to mobilize your community in support of the Safe Schools Improvement Act. Be sure to check back here regularly for important updates to the Kit that will occur as needed in the coming months.

If you have any questions regarding this action kit, don't hesitate to contact the GLSEN Public Policy Department at 202.347.7780 or publicpolicy@glsen.org.
