Frankel

Barbara Frankel

DiversityInc Executive Editor and Senior Vice President, Barbara Frankel supervises all diversity management content for DiversityInc and DiversityInc Best Practices. She oversees The DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for DiversityŽ ranking and The DiversityInc benchmarking department, a consultancy service that measures corporate performance in diversity management, and other surveys including The Top Colleges and Universities for Diversity and The Top Federal Agencies for Diversity, as well as regional surveys of smaller companies. Barbara produces and anchors monthly webinars on diversity best practices and arranges and co-moderates corporate roundtables on diversitymanagement issues.

Before joining DiversityInc in 2000, Barbara previously had more than 20 years as a reporter and editor in New Jersey newspapers. She began her career as a reporter and subsequently was a business writer, business editor, metro editor, managing editor and editorial-page editor. She has received Society of Professional Journalist awards for news coverage and editorial writing.

A longtime moderator and public speaker, she ran national ethics forums for journalists as well as political roundtables and forums before her career at DiversityInc. She also is an adjunct professor of journalism at Rutgers University, teaching Media Law and Ethics, and has received the department's award for best adjunct faculty member. Barbara is on the national board of GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian Straight Education Network) and is a volunteer for the Amy Foundation, a breast-cancer awareness organization. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, Jeff Leebaw, and has two grown children




Ryan Pedlow

Ryan Pedlow

Ryan is a Managing Director at Ziff Brothers Investments, New York. He is currently serving as the Sector Head on a team responsible for investing in financial services companies globally.

From August 1998 to July 2000, he was employed with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York as a Financial Analyst.

His personal hobbies include baseball/softball, snowboarding, and tennis. Ryan is the Treasurer and is on the National Board of Directors of GLSEN.

Ryan was born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) Degree from Queens University in Kingston, Canada.
