GLSEN Provides Educator Resources for LGBT History Month

At http://www.LGBTHistoryMonth.org, educators can access a guide to how to celebrate LGBT History Month at their schools. Suggestions range from screening an educational film to highlighting LGBT inclusive resources in school libraries.

GLSEN is also proud to provide a special offer for educators by giving away 300 free copies of Gay Pioneers. All we ask is that you fill out our registration form via the link below and tell us how you plan to use the video for LGBT History Month.

Gay Pioneers is a half-hour documentary produced by Equality Forum in conjunction with WHYY, Philadelphia’s public television station. It focuses on the first public protests for equal rights for gay and lesbian people, staged at governmental offices and historic landmarks in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. between 1965 and 1969, through archival footage and interviews with the participants who are still living.
