Jul 02, 2007
GLSEN is a proud member of the National Safe Schools Partnership, representing nearly 30 national education, health, civil rights, law enforcement, youth development and other organizations working to promote school safety and improve student achievement.

The National Safe Schools Partnership released a Congressional Brief on June 28, "Bridging the Gap in Federal Law: Preventing Bullying and Harassment in Our Schools," at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington D.C.

U.S. Rep. Linda Sanchez of California also attended the briefing to announce her intention to introduce the Safe Schools Improvement Act, which will help ensure safe schools for all students.
