GLSEN Executive Director Search to be Led by Heidrick & Struggles

NEW YORK, March 12, 2008 – GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, is pleased to announce that it has engaged the services of Heidrick & Struggles to assist in its national search for a new executive director. The search team will be led by Nat Sutton, Practice Managing Partner, Americas, of Heidrick & Struggle’s Education/Nonprofit Practice.

GLSEN Executive Director Kevin Jennings is stepping down as of Aug. 1, 13 years after founding GLSEN as a national organization. Jennings is a former high school history teacher who helped form the first Gay-Straight Alliance in 1988.
