Citi Steps Up for GLSEN

As we are all aware, 2010 was an incredibly trying year for the LGBT community, particularly young people struggling through the notion of giving up on life. With tragic events occurring across the country, GLSEN's work became and remains even more relevant and critical for youth.

Urgency on the table, GLSEN's supporters have been equally responsive to GLSEN's need for support and resources. Stepping up in a very generous way this past November was GLSEN Corporate Partner Citi. For the past six years Citi has been a supporter of GLSEN and in the fall they responded to a rash of teen tragedies with a significant contribution to GLSEN. That places Citi as a Gold Star National Corporate Partner, joining Cisco and IBM.

Citi received a perfect 100 on this year's HRC Corporate Equality Index and was honored by GLSEN and the annual New York Respect Awards
in 2006 for their excellent work in the field of Diversity & Inclusion. Citi, not unlike GLSEN, shares the same belief that we do not just have an opportunity, but an obligation, to make a positive contribution to the communities we serve. GLSEN is proud to partner with Citi on making schools safe for students across the country.
