Ally Week
Sept. 26-30, 2016

Register for Ally Week

This Ally Week, we're asking you to join the movement by taking action. One way to take action is to use your allyship to amplify the voices of LGBTQ youth. Encourage the LGBTQ youth in your life to use #MyAllies to share what they need from their allies. For example: "#MyAllies respect my pronouns!" and "#MyAllies speak with me, not for me!” Bisexual Awareness Week is September 19th- 23rd. To celebrate, GLSEN's National Student Council created the #ILoveBIself campaign to promote self-love among bisexual youth. It's also a space for the voices of bisexual youth to be amplified as they share their experiences, offer support to each other, and highlight the need for more awareness of the issues bisexual youth face.

Members of the National Student Council will be engaging in a Twitter chat using #iloveBIself on Bisexual Visibility Day, September 23rd from 8-9 PM ET. Please support the conversation!

As an ally, you can listen to their words, learn about their perspectives, and amplify their voices by retweeting. Check out a sneak peek made by Bexx, a GLSEN National Student Council member below:

Finally, don't forget to register for Ally Week:

When you register, you help us learn more about why Ally Week is so important to so many people and how we can make it better in the future.

We can't wait to hear about how you're striving to be an ally to the LGBTQ youth in our community. Thank you, as always, for your commitment to this important work!
