Got Student Leadership?
Do you have a passion for safe school organizing and advocacy?
Do you want to make your school safer through leadership, civic engagement, and peer-to-peer education?
Look no further! Join GLSEN Connecticut's vibrant and diverse Student Organizing (Org.) Team, a group of Gr. 6-12 student leaders from all across the state that work to create safe schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity and expression.
To achieve this goal, our team organizes educational programs and events in the community to promote inclusion, safety, and respect for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and ally students. More specifically, we facilitate peer-to-peer workshops at various schools and conferences, particularly the True Colors Conference and GLSEN Connecticut's annual Safe Schools Summit.
