GLSEN NEO Youth Conference
Finding Your Voice: Activism and Resources for "Day of Silence 2017"
Saturday, Apr. 15 (Grades 8-12), 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

First Unitarian Church, 21600 Shaker Boulevard (Eastbound), Shaker Heights, OH 44122

GLSEN NEO has held 10 youth conferences in Northeast Ohio and annually, students report that day is one of their favorites of the year.

This year, students at the youth conference will be engaged in workshops about the LGBTQ and Ally Experience as it relates to finding on's voice as activists through understanding the past and present. Through discussions and activities, students will also get resources, materials, and ideas for helping their school communities prepare for the National Day of Silence on Friday, Apr. 21, 2017. Students do not have to have a Gay-Straight Alliance in their schools to attend; all students are welcome as long as they would like to join in this day of socializing and self-growth.

The conference will begin at 9 a.m. with a light breakfast and will end at 3 p.m. The event is free of charge and lunch will be provided. Please know that adult chaperones working with GLSEN Northeast Ohio have completed background checks and are permitted to work with young people.

Please register by Apr. 11:
