Greetings from GLSEN Connecticut!
GLSEN Connecticut is an accredited chapter of GLSEN. GLSEN works to ensure safe schools for ALL students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. There are 39 Chapters around the country, which work closely with the national staff of GLSEN to implement programs and to keep national staff informed of local events. The work that chapters do covers a variety of subjects and issues, from public policy to teacher training to supporting students and educators around the country.
Chapters like ours play an important role in bringing GLSEN's programs and visions to local communities. While some chapters have full-time or part-time staff, most are entirely volunteer-based, including our chapter. We're always looking for new volunteers to help us ensure safe schools for all students.
Come join us for our monthly meeting every 2nd Wednesday of the Month! All of our meetings are at the New Haven Pride Center (NHPC), 84 Orange St., in New Haven and open to the public. However, you can also participate in meetings remotely or virtually via Zoom.
If you're interested in attending a meeting in-person or virtually (conference call via Zoom), please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org at least a day before the meeting
