SHINE Student Leadership Team

Our SHINE team's primary goals are:
  • To educate students and the community about LGBTQ issues in schools
  • Empower them to create social change through peer-to-peer education, student leadership, and safe schools organizing.

Our team accomplishes these goals by facilitating a series of student-designed and led workshops at the annual True Colors Conference and chapter-sponsored events such as the Safe Schools Summit. Student leaders also engage in community outreach by tabling, guest speaking, and facilitating workshops at various schools and conferences throughout the state about their efforts to make schools safer for ALL students.
