April 27, 2018, Friday - National Day of Silence - 3:30-6:30pm, West Heights UMC

Our 4th Annual Breaking the Silence event will follow GLSEN’s Day of Silence, a student-led national event where students take a vow of silence to highlight the silencing and erasure of LGBTQ people at school.

Our event will bring students, parents, educators and community members together to BREAK the Silence!

3:30pm-5pm- Several of our community partners will have tables set up at the event to show their support for students and offer their services. Students can come over after school and can create signs/posters for the 15 minute silent demonstration (that will happen outside, weather permitting).

5pm-5:15 - Silent Demonstration

5:15-5:30 - Students Break the Silence (student speakers)

5:30-6:30 - DJ, snacks, and Community/Information Fair continues!

May - Rainbow Graduation
