Submit to Creative Expressions!

Art is powerful. It can change hearts, minds, and ultimately, our society and culture. For No Name-Calling Week 2020 we are encouraging students and educators across the country to create artwork using the theme of #KindessInAction in K-12 schools, because we believe that art in any form has the power to change school climates for the better.

Students and educators can take this opportunity to create a Creative Expressions exhibit and showcase their art in their own schools. You can also submit your artwork for the chance to be featured by GLSEN on our social media, and for a chance to win a copy of “A Quick and Easy Guide to They/them Pronouns.”

The Creative Expressions Exhibit is part of GLSEN’s Artivists in Action project, which incorporates art activities for awareness days on GLSEN’s school year calendar, especially our Days of Action such as Ally Week, No Name-Calling Week, and the Day of Silence. Artivists in Action reflects art programs in schools such drawing, sculpture, photography, band, chorus, theatre, etc.

All submissions are due by February 15th.
