Student Creative Expression Exhibit 2018

Kindness through Creativity

Since 2010, GLSEN Hudson Valley has collaborated with the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center to help support No Name-Calling Week in Dutchess, Orange and Ulster Counties. Over the past five years, we have encouraged schools, youth programs, faith communities, service organizations and the entire community to participate in No Name-Calling Week with great success. Over 100 schools and organizations have participated over the years.

A key component of No Name-Calling Week is creative expression. Students are encouraged to share their feelings about bullying and their visions for a world where bullying no longer exists through the creation of art. As part of our celebration of No Name-Calling Week, GLSEN Hudson Valley and the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center host a Student Creative Expression Exhibit each year.

We are thrilled that this year's exhibit will be on display at the Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Museum. The exhibit can be viewed from Monday, March 19th to Friday, March 23rd from 9:00am until 5:00pm.

Opening Reception

We invite you to join us for a special Opening Reception of the Exhibit on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Find a map to the FDR Presidential Library here. The reception will feature special guest speakers from the FDR Presidential Library,
