2016 Fall Conference
2016 GLSEN Massachusetts Fall Conference
Context: Exploring Connections in Identity, Art & ActivismSaturday October 1st, 2016 Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School 15 Mulligan Drive, South Hadley, MA 01075
Reading between the lines, considering circumstances, understanding context(s) is essential to the work we do as social justice seekers, as learners, as educators, as artists. Context is what helps us better understand ourselves and the world around us. Context is what helps us make connections.
The 2016 GLSEN MA Fall Conference presents an opportunity to engage in workshops that explore methods of activism, intersections of identities, and the power of art. We offer CONTEXT, as a point of consideration for presenters and participants, instigating the quest for deeper understanding. We will come together as students, educators, artists and social justice seekers to build community and share resources for creating and maintaining safer and more affirming schools for all students.
