Homecoming OUT Youth and Educator Summit 2018

Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Colby Sawyer College in New London, NH

Join GLSEN New Hampshire for a day of student leadership, networking, and professional development followed by a celebration in honor of National Coming Out Day!

GLSEN New Hampshire is proud to host the 2018 Homecoming OUT Youth and Educator Summit & Celebration! Students and educators are invited to join us at Colby-Sawyer College as we welcome you back to school and provide workshops for your GSA’s & Diversity Clubs. Workshops will be presented by GLSEN-trained staff and awesome guests from partner organizations such as PFLAG NH and GLAD. Students will have the opportunity to learn how to become community leaders working to make a change for safer schools for LGBTQ youth and their allies.

Our keynote speaker is Lisa Bunker! Lisa’s a current NH resident who’s spent 30 years in non-commercial broadcasting, and is now entering politics, running for a seat as a NH State Representative. She is also a published author having written Felix Yz, a story of a boy who is fused with a fourth-dimensional being. Her second novel Zenobia July about a trans girl living with a new family, solving cyber crimes, and living as a girl for the first time, is expected to hit bookshelves in early 2019!

After a day of learning and advocacy, please stay for a Homecoming Celebration! Attendees can look forward to making new friends at our GSA dinner. Topping the evening off will be our Celebration where music will be provided to get you up and groovin’!

10am-6pm - Summit Workshops
6pm-9pm - Dinner & Celebration
Lunch, Dinner & Snacks will be provided at no cost.
