GLSEN NYCR Gala - Educator, Student, & Ally Awards- June 13, 2019

On Thursday, June 13, 2019, GLSEN New York Capital Region (NYCR) is hosting its annual Gala Celebration in Albany's Washington Park Lakehouse, 5:30 - 9pm (or so).

GLSEN NYCR’s formal PRIDE event is at The Lakehouse / Park Playhouse in Albany. We have a lot to celebrate throughout our 8 counties this year, including 5 lawmakers that helped sponsor GENDA, 3 local teachers (Bethlehem & South Colonie) and an outstanding youth leader (Columbia High)! Still, 8 out of 10 LGBTQ students are harassed at school each year, simply because of who they are. You can help us change that staggering statistic.

All students deserve to be treated with respect in a safe and affirming school environment where they can learn and grow.
