Strengthening LGBTQ+ Inclusion in ESSA Title I & II-A Evaluations
GLSEN urged the U.S. Department of Education to strengthen intersectional, LGBTQ+ inclusive data collection in surveys evaluating the implementation of Title I and Title II, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Title I and Title II, Part A support school improvement and effective educator development programming and activities.
