You can volunteer with our student Street Team, make a gift to support our work year-round, or attend a GLSEN chapter event in your city… and there’s more!

Find a way to take action that works best for you.

A large group of GLSEN volunteers, all wearing black tshirts that say LOVE, holds up posters and a banner as they march in the 2018 NYC Pride Parade. A double-decker bus behind them also has a GLSEN banner and more volunteers on the roof. The banners reads: GLSEN, Championing LGBT Issues in K-12 Schools Since 1990; GLSEN, Creating LGBTQ Inclusive Schools. The posters read: Resist; Protect LGBTQ Students; All Students Deserve Inclusive Schools; Protect Trans Students.

Attend an Event

Show your support for GLSEN’s mission to create safer schools for LGBTQ youth by attending an event! GLSEN hosts the Respect Awards in both NYC and LA each year.

You can also attend an event led by a GLSEN chapter in your city—visit our chapter network page to learn more about what’s happening in your region.

No matter who you are, you can advocate for safer schools for LGBTQ students. Check out our policy, research, and programs pages to learn where your skills and talents can best be put to use. You can get involved with the movement on a city, state, district, or even school level!

Make a Gift

It all starts with a single gesture that leads to big things. A Safe Space sticker in a classroom window to let LGBTQ students know they’re recognized. A student-run GSA that allows LGBTQ youth and allies to build community together. A lesson on LGBTQ history that raises awareness for a student who’s never seen their experience represented before. An assembly, organized by student leaders, that breaks the silence about discrimination against the LGBTQ community.

Every day, GLSEN’s work touches the lives of hundreds of thousands of students across the nation. In 43 chapters across 30 states, GLSEN is doing important, groundbreaking work to create safer schools for all students.

And it wouldn’t be possible without your help.

GLSEN relies on your support to provide a lifeline to every student whose sexual orientation,  gender identity, or gender expression is used as a basis of harassment and violence.

Give today and join the movement to create inclusive schools for LGBTQ youth. Because every student has the right to a safe and supportive education.
