GLSEN Commends Biden-Harris Administration for New Actions to Protect LGBTQ+ Youth

Today, the Biden-Harris Administration announced new actions to protect LGBTQI+ people, including detailed plans to support and empower LGBTQI+ youth and address book bans.

“LGBTQ+ youth across the country continue to face attacks on their rights, and now more than ever, we need our leaders to rise up for our most vulnerable communities,” said GLSEN Executive Director Melanie Willingham-Jaggers. “We commend the Biden-Harris Administration for taking action; these new plans to provide mental health support, shield youth and their families from discrimination, and address book bans will save lives. With the support of our leaders and allies, we will continue to fight back against attacks and ensure LGBTQ+ youth can thrive in and out of the classroom.”
