YouTube to be Honored at 2015 GLSEN Respect Awards – Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (September 15, 2015) – GLSEN, the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe and affirming schools for all students, will honor YouTube with the Chairman’s Award at GLSEN’s Respect Awards – Los Angeles to be held Friday, October 23, at the Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills. YouTube joins previously announced honorees Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. 

In addition, past honorees Simon Halls and Matt Bomer will be returning as honorary co-chairs, along with Bob Greenblatt, Marilyn and Jeffrey Katzenberg, Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak, and Julia Roberts and Danny Moder.

YouTube is being celebrated for providing a platform that serves as hope and inspiration for LGBT youth around the world. By establishing a safe and supportive community, YouTube and its creators continue to make a positive impact for LGBT people and their families, while changing countless hearts and minds.
