Starting a GSA at Your School
You can make a difference! LGBTQ+ student-led clubs and GSAs (Gender and Sexuality Alliances) are leading the work to create safe and LGBTQ-inclusive schools, and student organizers are the nation’s most powerful base for creating change. Along with providing space to organize, GSAs are spaces where students can receive support, socialize, and find community together.
Check out our resources below on how to start a GSA, how to create an inclusive GSA towards trans youth, take part in the Day of Silence, Solidarity Week, and GLSEN's Changing the Game.
Register your GSA
GLSEN's GSA Registration provides you an opportunity to receive resources, and for your GSA to be counted as one of the thousands of student clubs across the country working to make schools safer and more affirming for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. Please fill out the form linked below to get started.
Thank you for joining GLSEN for our first ever I Love My GSA Day on February 14th, 2023! Next year’s I Love My GSA Day will take place on February 14, 2024, and we’ll continue to celebrate all of the amazing work that students and educators do in GSAs.
